Installation procedure
Always work with the power off and in accordance with local regulations. Use extreme caution and follow instructions carefully.
The charging station should be installed according to the connection diagram and must always be protected with protection units.
For more information, refer to Connection diagram.
1 – Module 1 – DOCK module
2 – Module 2 – OUTPUT module
3 – Module 3 – MAIN UNIT module
Install the charging station in the order of the module numbers.
Firstly install the module 1, then module 2, and finally module 3.
For optimal and correct installation of the charging station, follow the installation steps below.
1. On a vertical mounting surface, mark and drill the holes you will use for the screws.
Use Dock and Output socket / Output cable modules as a guide. Alternatively, use the drill-hole template.
The template is provided in the Dock packaging box and available to download here.
2. Insert the wall inserts into the drilled holes.
3. Mount the module on the mounting surface and secure it with the screws at the numbered screw points 1, 2, and 3.
If the mounting surface is not completely smooth and flat, use the flexibility of the buffers (on the back of the Dock) when mounting to ensure that the Dock sits flat without bending.
4. Insert the power cable through the inlet cable gland.
You can find the guidelines here.
5. Route the cable to the terminal block as directed by the routing guide to the MAIN SUPPLY terminals.
If the cable is too long, cut the excess.
Refer to the Dock module topic for the module’s parts.
6. Prepare the cable and connect it to the MAIN SUPPLY terminals.
7. Install the Output socket / Output cable module and secure it with the screws at the numbered screw points 4, 5, and 6.
It is assumed that the hole for mounting point number 6 in the mounting surface is already drilled and equipped with the wall insert. If not, see steps 1 and 2 of this installation procedure.
7.1. Assemble the Output module with the (already mounted) Dock module. Insert mating pins on the back of the Output module into the mating holes of the Dock module.
7.2. Insert the screws into the numbered screw points 4 and 5. Tighten them with the specified tightening torque (refer to the “Fasteners topic” of the corresponding Output module).
7.3. Insert the screw into the numbered screw point 6 (fixing on the mounting surface) and tighten them with appropriate tightening torque.
Ensure that you tighten the screw with a torque suitable for the material of your mounting surface. The contact points of the numbered screw points can deviate from the surface by up to 5 mm at most. If not, appropriately shim it so that the installation fits best on the surface and the module does not twist under the force of excessive tightening onto the surface.
8. Attach the Main unit module to the Dock module; top and bottom snap-fit tabs must snap into the snap-fit slots.
9. Secure the Main unit module with the screws at the numbered screw points 7, 8, 9, and 10.
Tighten the screws with the specified tightening torque.
10. Turn on the power supply to the station.
11. Carry out the commissioning, put the front cover in place and secure it with the provided screw.
As long as the front cover is not in place, the charging functionality is disabled.
12. (Optional) If applicable, mount the cable holder.
Warning! Before installing, wiring, handling or accessing the charging station in any way, make sure to read, understand and follow the Safety Guidelines.
